  Every day we are bombarded with News on catastrophes happening around the world from hurricanes to earthquakes, wildfires to landslides, bomb blast to war crimes, poverty, violence and the threats of global warming. We then began to ask questions on what's happening? We became inquisitive towards the cause of all these problems. Some say it is the end of the world, others say it is because of the increase in the world's population and the overuse of the earth's resources. People keep on making speculations because they are looking for what to blame these problems on but what's the cause? Amidst all these,  can we still say the world is much better now compared to the previous centuries? Imagine yourself in a room full of smelly feces with all your feet stuck inside and some of it splashed to your face. Feels disgusting right? You might have squeezed your face while imagining that but it's not like you are there. So why do you squeeze your face? Is it because you know how repugnant the smell of feces is? No The truth is you squeezed your face because of your mental image. That kind of situation only exists in your mind and picturing it will have the same effect on your face as it will in reality.

According to Wikipedia Fear is a feeling induced by perceived danger. It is also a strong emotion induced by anticipated danger. Fear is normal and it’s like a shield designed to protect us humans from perceived danger. It’s often directed towards a situation or objects that don’t necessarily pose a real danger. Phobia is often termed as an irrational fear towards a situation, living creature, object, etc. It’s being termed as' irrational' because people find it unreasonable. Take for example xanthophobia, the fear of yellow colour. People with xanthophobia fear anything yellow including the Sun.
