Threat Of An Oblivion Consignment

In the past, people lived a simple life in Africa that comprises of different cultures,tradition and ethics that are antiquated to the lifestyle of the Africans today. Each African country comprises of different ethnic group with numerous culture. It is quite unfortunate that many of these long inherited cultures are fading into thin air, especially in my country Nigeria due to negligence. The widespread complacency towards  this fading heritage  fuels the surging  lack of interest in learning what is called our ethnic language especially among the youths and growing children. Every moment, it seems as if  we see the western language  and its culture as the ideal music to interact with the world of which importance is attached to, marginalising our own heritage. We are being taught at school, to learn how to speak the western language as well as how to read and write  but no one cares if we don't know how to speak our mother tongue as long as we can ...
